This photo ( #4 of this tree) completes a year of grass seed farming around this tree, from the grass breaking ground in the spring to burning of the straw after harvest. They burn the fields to sterilize the soil for weed control and to add fertilizer back into the ground. With the smoke problems caused by the burning many fields are now baled instead of burned.
