These Field Photo Weekends were taken on Sept. 1, 2012. The location is our 1-acre property at 18154 Bancroft Avenue, Monte Sereno, CA 95030. It is also where our COCORAHS station is located -- station number CA-SC-5; station name is Monte Sereno 0.4 SSW.
We had a dry winter, about 60 percent of normal, but these photos are nonetheless typical for a Labor Day weekend here: the creek is dry, the redwood is a bit distressed, the grass is brown. Last recorded rainfall was June 5.
