CoCoRaHS Station: IA-DL-14
All of the below photos were taken 5 miles north of Linden, Iowa on Saturday, September 1st. These plants have been receiving about 1 gallon of water per row-foot every other day. In a normal year they would be 5 – 6 feet tall and loaded with berries the size of the first joint of a man’s thumb. Instead they are 3 – 4 feet tall with berries the size of the first joint of my “little” finger. At this time of the year we would normally harvest 4 – 7 gallons of berries daily. To date our “largest” daily harvest has been 5 cups.
