The following photos were taken Sept. 2 near Bastrop, TX. The property is along Hwy. 71 on the North side of the road. There was a terrible fire here last year that started on Labor Day Sunday and I was at a gathering commemorating that event. I didn’t take pics of the worst of the fire damage, which is still very prevalent nearby. Dead trees in following pics could be from last year’s drought or from heat from the fire.
